HWA RACELAB CELEBRATES FIRST PODIUM OF THE FORMULA 3 SEASON

The strongest race weekend of the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship thus far was rewarded with a podium for HWA RACELAB in Silverstone. Jake Hughes (Great Britain) finished in second place on Saturday and picked up points on Sunday as well in seventh place. Enzo Fittipaldi (Brazil) missed out on finishing in the points after being awarded a penalty retroactively.

EDUCATIONAL RACE WEEKEND FOR BWT HWA RACELAB IN SILVERSTONE

In the fifth round of the FIA Formula 2 Championship in Silverstone, BWT HWA RACELAB battled with pace once again and missed out on the points. However, Artem Markelov (Russia) moved up the field well in the race on Sunday, inspiring hope. And even though it wasn’t reflected in the results, Giuliano Alesi (France) also showed his potential.

BWT HWA RACELAB LOSES OUT IN TYRE LOTTERY AT THE HUNGARORING

Round three of the FIA Formula 2 Championship at the Hungaroring was determined by tyre strategy. BWT HWA RACELAB driver Giuliano Alesi (France) was in contention for a points finish in both races, but was unable to maintain his pace throughout the full race distance. He did, however, show his potential with the fastest time in free practice. Artem Markelov (Russia) was stopped in his tracks by a crash, through no fault of his own.

HWA RACELAB COMES AWAY FROM THE HUNGARORING WITH POINTS IN THE BAG FOLLOWING AN EVENTFUL FORMULA 3 WEEKEND

The HWA RACELAB drivers again showed impressive pace at round three of the FIA Formula 3 Championship. However, their efforts to challenge at the business end of the race were hampered by difficult weather conditions and a chaotic race on Saturday. Enzo Fittipaldi (Brazil) did fight back successfully to claim the next points for the Affalterbach-based team in Sunday's race.

IMPRESSIVE PACE GOES UNREWARDED FOR HWA RACELAB IN FORMULA 3 RACES IN SPIELBERG

Round two of the FIA Formula 3 Championship in Spielberg, Austria, saw HWA RACELAB driver Jake Hughes (Great Britain) in contention for victory in Sunday's race, until he was the innocent victim of a collision that resulted in his retirement. Hughes had previously taken tenth place in difficult weather conditions on Saturday, ensuring the team from Affalterbach at least left the Styrian Mountains with a point to its name.

ALESI PUTS BWT HWA RACELAB IN THE POINTS IN FIA FORMULA 2

Giuliano Alesi (France) presented BWT HWA RACELAB with its first points in race one of the FIA Formula 2 Championship. He took full advantage of the team's clever race strategy at the season-opener in Spielberg, Austria, finishing sixth after an impressive fightback. Technical issues meant the team came away empty-handed from Sunday's sprint race.
