Next success for HWA RACELAB in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship: Gary Paffett held his nerve as the weather caused chaos in Paris. Starting 17th, the experienced driver battled his way into eighth place to pick up points for the second time this season. Stoffel Vandoorne was involved in a collision on the slippery track and was forced to retire.
Stoffel Vandoorne's third place in Rome just a few days ago presented HWA RACELAB with its first big success in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. However, there has been no time for the team to sit back and enjoy the moment: The European leg of the season continues this weekend with the Paris E-Prix.
HWA RACELAB is all set for the start of this season's FIA Formula 3 Championship in May. Drivers Bent Viscaal (NED), Jake Hughes (GBR) and Keyvan Andres (IRN) gained more valuable experience at the third and final official test at the Hungaroring. The trio improved over the course of the two days and concluded the test with a solid team performance.

Gary Paffett failed to finish after being involved in an early, multi-car collision through no fault of his own.
HWA RACELAB has taken the next step on the road to the team's first race in the FIA Formula 3 Championship. The outing in Spain was the second of three official test events for the German team, before the season gets underway in May.
This weekend, HWA RACELAB and the other teams in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship commence the "European leg" of the season: Rome, Monaco, Paris, Berlin and Bern are the next venues, before the 2018/19 season concludes in July with a double-header in New York. With six races behind them, the new team from Affalterbach's record at the halfway point of the season is a mixed bag: Despite a number of set-backs, Gary Paffett and Stoffel Vandoorne both have points to their name and are looking ahead with confidence to the race in the Italian capital.
