Rasmussen completes the HWA RACELAB line-up for the FIA Formula 3 season

The third driver has now also been confirmed. Oliver Rasmussen (Denmark) will race alongside Matteo Nannini (Italy) and Rafael Villagomez (Mexico) for HWA RACELAB in the 2021 FIA Formula 3 Championship. The 20-year-old joins the team after an impressive season in the Formula Regional European Championship and has already driven the HWA RACELAB car.

Rafael Villagomez to drive for HWA RACELAB in FIA Formula 3 in 2021

The second of the three drivers for the 2021 season of the FIA Formula 3 Championship has been confirmed: HWA RACELAB is putting its faith in the promising and talented Rafael Villagomez (Mexico) in the coming season of the junior racing series. The 19-year-old will make his debut in the series for the team from Affalterbach.

BWT HWA RACELAB brought the penultimate race weekend of the FIA Formula 2 Championship in Sakhir (Bahrain) to a positive close with tenth place in the Sunday race. Artem Markelov (Russia) produced an impressive fightback, climbing twelve places in total. 17-year-old Théo Pourchaire (France) demonstrated his talent on his Formula 2 debut, but was unfortunate in race two.

Jake Hughes (Great Britain) was runner-up in Saturday's race at the final round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship in Mugello, presenting HWA RACELAB with its fourth podium of the season. Team-mate Enzo Fittipaldi (Brazil) claimed his best results of the season, finishing fifth and fourth. Thanks to this impressive final weekend, the team from Affalterbach ended the season in fifth place in the Team competition.
