Affalterbach, December 3, 2025 – The upcoming HWA EVO has successfully completed the latest phase of its extensive global testing program on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife.

As with every aspect of the vehicle’s development and engineering, HWA is taking the validation process of the EVO to exceptional lengths in order to meet the car’s ambitious performance and engineering targets. Following the recently completed physical crash test program and alongside an ongoing OEM-level homologation process, the modern reinterpretation of an icon for road and track has now undergone testing at another legendary venue in German motorsport: the Nürburgring.

Over the course of sixteen test days, experienced racing drivers Sebastian Asch, Luca Ludwig, Markus Winkelhock and Reinhold Renger completed intensive development runs with three HWA EVO prototypes on the demanding 20.83-kilometer circuit, famously known worldwide among motorsport enthusiasts as the “Green Hell.”

Particular focus was placed on managing thermal loads during extended high-speed driving, as well as optimizing the chassis, powertrain and braking systems under the extreme conditions of the Nordschleife, with its highly varied combinations of corners, surfaces and elevation changes.

Gordian von Schöning, CTO of HWA AG:
“The Nürburgring Nordschleife is regarded worldwide as the benchmark for vehicle development — and for good reason. With more than 25 years of experience in professional motorsport, we know exactly what a vehicle must deliver in order to perform there. Alongside our hot- and cold-weather testing programs in Northern Europe and Southern Spain, as well as the ongoing homologation process, this development phase at the Nürburgring has enabled us to ensure that we are creating a vehicle worthy of the HWA name.”

The constantly changing weather conditions at the circuit also allowed key vehicle components to be validated under real-world conditions, including precise damper tuning and detailed chassis setup calibrations. After completing a total of 10,498 kilometers and 504 laps, HWA’s engineers continued refining and evaluating the vehicle according to their exceptionally high standards to ensure a driving experience that is safe, reliable and deeply emotional.

Martin Marx, CEO of HWA AG:
“With the start of production for the HWA EVO now approaching, this is an especially exciting phase for the entire team. The depth and scope of our testing program reflect the extraordinary expertise and experience our team has brought into this project. We look forward to presenting customers, partners and journalists with the final result of this development work.”

With validation and final optimization of the HWA EVO now nearly complete, HWA is shifting its focus toward the upcoming start of series production. Manufacturing of the strictly limited production run of 100 vehicles is scheduled to begin early next year.
