HWA AG to receive new commissioning for DTM

Affalterbach, 11 October 2018 – HWA AG is at an advanced stage of negotiations regarding a new commission for its motorsports activities in the DTM racing series. As already communicated in July 2017, Daimler AG will not continue these activities beyond 2018. With the termination of Daimler AG's DTM commitment, the Board of Management has made extensive efforts to compensate for the decline in sales from 2019 onwards by means of new projects.

HWA AG is to be commissioned to continue its DTM activities via the planned joint venture between HWA AG and AF Racing AG, for which HWA AG published corresponding details on July 26, 2018. In the joint venture, the development, production and deployment of Aston Martin DTM vehicles is planned, among other things, under the license of Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd., which AF Racing AG holds. HWA AG will be responsible for the operative implementation of the project.

With its entry into Formula E in the 2018/2019 season and the planned implementation of the new DTM project, HWA AG will be able to partially compensate for the decline in sales from the DTM project with Daimler AG in 2019.
