Since its formation in 1999, HWA AG has successfully managed the official AMG-Mercedes racing team in various international racing series, including the German Touring Car Championship (DTM). HWA AG develops and builds the racing cars and their engines.

In 2007 HWA AG used a total of 10 cars in the DTM series alone: four of these were managed directly from Affalterbach and six more were run by sub-contract teams closely supported by HWA.

Since 1988 HWA AG and the AMG Mercedes team have won over 120 races and 22 championship titles in the ITC, DTM and FIA GT series alone.

HWA AG’s activities also include brand implementation for Daimler AG in these activities.

Examples include presentation of the new Mercedes C class and advertising for this model using DTM drivers.

HWA AG’s international marketing partners use these sporting successes in their own sponsorship and communications activities.
