With its 428 kW / 582 HP AMG 5.5 litre V8 compressor engine, the newly developed AMG sports suspension, optional sports tires and the wind tunnel-optimised aerodynamics, the limited edition CLK DTM AMG Cabriolet offers you driving performance of the highest calibre. The AMG high performance thoroughbred takes only 4.0 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h, and the maximum speed is 300 km/h (electronically governed). This makes the new top-of-the-range AMG the fastest open-topped 4-seater in the world.
The huge demand for the CLK DTM AMG Coupé (which was also limited to 100 units and quickly sold out) originally sparked the idea for the high-performance AMG cabriolet. During development the most successful car from the German Touring Car Masters series also served as inspiration – the racing version of the Mercedes-Benz CLK with which Bernd Schneider won the title in 2003. The interior of the CLK DTM AMG Cabriolet is also based on the racing version: AMG sports bucket seats with leather/Alcantara upholstery guarantee optimal lateral support, the oval AMG racing steering wheel with suede leather cover and the AMG instrument cluster with a 360 km/h speedometer give the interior a genuine racing flair.
